When an apple orchard is featured in Travel and Leisure, everybody shows up. It was wild at our usually semi-quiet apple picking spot, but I am glad the farmers are getting such a good response. (And selfishly, I wanted to yell, “Where did you people come from? Shoo! Step away from the Mutsus.”)
The visit left me feeling fallish:

hee! hee! hee! I know exactly what you mean :-) I am so envious of all the apple orchard visits going on at the moment in blogland - I'll have to see what's happening around here - there's bound to be some stonefruit and cherries somewhere.
I agree with Lily! I am so jealous of all the apple picking going on. I have been looking around for some apple orchards in our area (They don't exactly like growing in the Rockies :)).
Gorgeous photos
I love the way the trees are just starting to really get some color--beautiful!
And I know what you mean about having mixed feelings about your favorite spot suddenly becoming popular!
love the goat! yep, jealous of the u-pick. we have a real shortage of apple orchards near us and our state is one of the top apple states. boo hoo...
What lovely pictures - it certainly does look like fall! I love visiting the orchard every year, too, especially with the kids. The one we go to has a big playground, giant haybales for climbing, and animals to pet. Fun stuff!
What a wonderful place to pick apples!
