If you have ever bought a fresh Christmas tree, you will understand how a bushel -- 50 pounds -- was difficult to quantify until I saw the boxes on my kitchen counter. Now, I am a little frightened.

Sounds like I should head south FAST. I bought about half that amount one year and cooked and cooked and cooked. I also was willing to eat about one cobbler a day!
Hmm peaches. Peach cobbler, peach ice cream, or just sliced peaches and milk....one of my favorite summer treats.
