The wonderful women at Sew Mama Sew have declared this to be Women's Clothing Month. Their tutorials never assume that you know anything but they aren't at all condescending. (Know I am a sewing idiot, just don't treat me like one. ;) )
Today I plan to take that most painful of all sewing steps: taking accurate measurements of myself.

Oh, I'm sorry - I wouldn't have the courage! However, I can't believe the girl would buy a size 14 pattern for that size 6 body. Really, that's crazy! I always find that if I do go by my measurements and choose the appropriate pattern size, the garment is huge! Trial and error sometimes, I think. -- Michele
