We had a wonderful field trip today to Barefoot Organic Farms. I came home with three dozen fresh (and by "fresh" I mean I have to wash them with vinegar because they just came out of a chicken) eggs. I will be back later this summer for tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, peas, beans and more -- all organic and fertilized by compost made with the help of these new friends:
My son thought feeding the horse was the height of all things cool. The horse seemed pretty pleased with the situation, too.
