It seems that so much of my (paying) work has been behind the scenes lately, which is probably a product of working while homeschooling. In any event, I had the chance to interview two lovely gentlemen last week. They are survivors of prostate cancer and they are spreading the word about screening and early detection, and doing so with much grace and humor. You can read about them here.

My husband is a young prostate cancer survivor. He went through the whole big thing - prostatectomy - at the end of
2005. We just had his cancer support group over for a cookout this past weekend. Sweet, sweet people despite their diagnoses.

I am so happy that he got treatment and is doing well. I just never thought about this striking so young until I talked to these gentlemen in the story.
